SATURN OBSERVATION, AUGUST 9th, 2000.
D.A. Peach, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, UK.
12" (30.5cm) Meade SCT.
Magnification: 341X.
Filters: No Filters.

Seeing fair-good (6-7)
Transparency variable, with frequent high clouds/haze (0 - 4.5mag.)
Light WNW wind (5mph.) Heavy Dew.
Observation comments:
The main problem during this mornings observation was transparency. Also, heavy dew caused problems later in the session.

A blue/gray coloured SPC was again noted, though no SSTB was seen on this occasion due to seeing. A noticable SEBs was noted, though not as dark as the SEBn. The STrZ area appeared light coloured, with perhaps a tinge of green to it.

Ring A again appeared steel grey, as in previous sessions. Ring B's inner edge again appeared very dusky. Ring A is noticablely dimmer than Ring B. Ring C also noted. Cassini Division easily followed around the rings.
