ヘレスポントス（Hellespontus;330°、-40°）付近のダストストームの晴れ間は、あまり変化はなく、そのまま見えています。 また、アキダリウム（Mare Acidarium;30°、+50°）付近の晴れ間も変化はないようです。今回の特徴はボレウム（Boreum;80°、+60°）からテンペ（Tempe;70°、+45°）付近にかかっている大きな白色雲です。かなり南の方まで広がっています。また、このときアキダリウム付近の晴れていることと何か関係がないか気になるところです。ニロケラス（Nirokeras;50°、+30°）付近はダストストームに覆われました。

A fair sky of dust storm of the Hellespontus remained basically the same. And, Mare Acidarium is so that, too.Boreum and Tempe region was covered by large whitish clouds. Norokeras was covered by dust storm.

透明度が比較的高かったが、雲が多く、大気は不安定であった。撮影後、雲が発生した。眼視で両極地方の白い雲がよく確認できた。特に北極地方で大きな広がりが認められた。相変わらず全体に模様は不鮮明であった。

Attached is my mars image on 21st July 2001.
High and thick haze present making imaging difficult. A/D counts were only
25% compared to when conditions were good.
Seems like the dust storm is still going strong, lack of surface details
noted over the southern hemisphere.

空には画像を悪くする高く、厚いかすみがかかっている。
A/D カウントは最良のときと比べるとわずか２５％であった。
（透明度が悪い事を言っている。）
火星面の模様の欠如が南半球の塵嵐がまだ強いことを示している様だ。

いずれも、送風機で風を送り込みながらの撮影でした。

・大黄雲の影響で、模様はほとんど見えない。
・北極付近の青い雲が輝いている。
・南極付近にも雲が見える。南極冠ではないはず。
・東縁全体にも雲が明るく見えている。
