comment:
SPR〜SSSTB

seeing:7/10.

THE SMALL BRIGHT ZONE OBSERVATIONS IN THE SPR OF SATURN.
By Masahito NIIKAWA

Mr. Ed Grafton, Houston Texas observed the small bright "zone" like a polar ring in the SPR of Saturn at 2001/10/18 08:52 UT.
Few years ago the bright "spot" in the SPR sometimes observed by J-ALPO observes, however it had not been obvious.
In 2001, The SPR of Saturn decline to the earth, then it becomes easier for us to observe the South Polar Region of the Saturn.
The image taken by Mr. Ed Grafton shows small bright zone existence.

Ed Grafton's images
And M. Niikawa , Sakai Osaka also observed this small zone at 2001/10/25 17:43 UT.

In accordance with the both observations the small South Polar Zone is 1.5" or 2.0 " in diameter.
The continuous observations with the various wavelengths are needed.
