Dear all planetary observers-
I had successfully imaged Mercury Sunday morning Oct. 27th near the local meridian.
It was nearly 45 degrees above the horizon and 0nly 12 degrees away from the sun.
Surprisingly, the telescope was in the shade for nearly 45 minutes before the sunlight
hit the main mirror. That was when I stop imaging.
The sky cleared unexpectedly and the seeing was so-so about 5-7 on the avarage.
At CM - 158 degrees, Mercury displayed nearly a full phase with some hints of dark
markings in the southern hemisphere. The seeing varied during the exposures.
So, some details may seem to be different shapes, but in the same area.
I admitted this time that it was difficult imaging Mercury Sunday morning!
