夕方薄雲があったものの19時近くから晴れ,ほぼベスト(7-8/10)大気の状態でした。
STBの永続白斑BA(2系79度)がGRS(81度)の南(上)側を経過しています。

One image from tonight's effort due to increasing clouds and very poor
seeing conditions. Interesting development since last night (Feb. 24,however).
Note dark barge B-4 on far right edge. NEB bright diagonal rift is now
complete in disjuncture of the NEB from near similar long. of the GRS all
way to dark barge B-4 in NEB. Note the very dark new spot in the SEBn, just
fol. the GRS and continued activity fol. GRS and oval BA.

Hi Jupiter Observers,
Here is an observation from Feb. 25th 2002. Europa and its shadow are
present. The oval BA can be seen to be just past ( preceeding ) the
longitude as the GRS and has more of an enlongated appearence than before
the encounter with the GRS, almost as if it were being squeezed between the
GRS and the STB as it passes. It has a rather flat border on its S. side and
the visible boundary where it meets the GRS is very tenous or non-visible.
NEB rift is prominent and white spots and festoons are visible.
The sky was very transparent, 9/10, and seeing was good, 7/10, with a 5 MPH
SSW wind. Light dew was present. The weather was mild with the temperature
in the mid 60's in the early evening.

Barlow Projection to f/27 aprox .21 arc seconds per pixel.

Here are the images obtained on Feb 25 (I already have send some IR/CH4
results).
RGS/BA, SSTB ovals, STr band oval, NEB rifts and barge are seen.
Observing the first CH4 image (and the other IR and visivle images for
comparison) it appears that there is CH4-bright material associates with
the NEB rift that is near the p limb in the color image. At that region,
the methane-bright EZ is distorted towards N. Just S of this distortion is
a faintly methane-dark festoon (dark in IR).
Good observations.
