Fortunately, one small opening of "fair" seeing conditions allowed the
attached image....immediately after the seeing was such that focusing was
not even feasible.

This image shows some areas of considerable interest.

Note the areas:
1) south edge of the NEBs, just west of the CM....this is the vividly
"blue/gray" festoon that was reported last week; it is scintillatingly
bluish to the eye and very vivid on raw images. Note that a
similarly-colored festoon is oriented due N-S connecting the NEBs edge with
the EB right on the CM in this image.

2) very dark/dusky oval immediately pr. the pr. end of the GRS, just east of
CM.

3) the very turbulent nature of the STrZ immediately pr. the GRS leading
eastward to the very well defined oval on the s. edge of the SEBs, having a
very distinct "feathered" border (this is seen east of the CM).

4) nature of the white ovals immediately south and preceding the GRS in the
SSTC.

Hi all,
Here are some images from earlier this evening. As i was working late i came home from work during my lunch hour
around 7:30pm to shoot some images as conditions looked good! (couldn't bear to let a good night go to waste!.)
Jupiter is now 10" arc secs smaller than back at opposition in early Jan, and its looking noticeably smaller on
the CCD chip now. Despite its shrinking size, plenty is still visible. I caught the small STrZ spot i imaged on
March 28th, though it seems to have elongated in shape. Also note the obvious array of SSTC ovals, preceding the
new merged oval (which didnt transit until later.) Hopefully more in the coming days.
Best Wishes
Damian
