Hi all,

You may be interested to see the attached chart, generated by Hans-Joerg
Mettig using JUPOS, tracking the NEBn spots over the last year. Details of
JUPOS, and a complete set of recent charts, are available on the web site:

This chart offers a provisional numbering system which we are using for
the NEBn spots, as many of the 'barges and portholes' (dark and bright
ovals) have persisted for several years.
We also note that the NEB is still expanded northward between dark barges
B6 (L2 ~ 240) and B1 (L2 ~ 270), and following white oval WS7 (L2 ~ 60).
These sectors have never really receded since the complete expansion of
the belt in 2000/2001, although other sectors have returned to the usual
latitude.
Meanwhile on the NEBs edge, the typical dark projections and festoons have
largely recovered from their obscurity in 2001.

Best wishes,
John.
