Dear all Venus observers-

Venus was imaged again under a hazy sky on June 25 at 23:20 UT.
Still, there is a dark band in the southern hemisphere.
This is one full rotation later from the June 21st images.
It seems that I am patrolling the Venus' upper atmosphere.
Because, this is a good time to image at a gibbous phase when Venus is showing much of a disk.
This maximizes the contrast on the disk when imaging in UV light.
Then at half and crescent phases, less area is visible and the details are loosing some contrast while spreading out.
Now, I will keep tracking how long is this dark band in the southern hemisphere going to last.
Regards,
Frank J Melillo
