Hi all,

Here are some Venus images from Nov 10th, in attempt
to detect the Ashen light.

A red light filter, concentrating on around 720nm was
used, with an IR rejection filter. Conditions
were quite difficult, though a nearby building
prevented the low alitude Sun from heating the scope,
or
local surrouding, so the seeing conditions were
reasonable. Venus was placed at 20 degrees altitude.

I present the image processed normally, along with a
montage of

1. High contrast processed image.
2. Histogram Equalization, to show any possible ashen
light detection.
3. 3D plot of the full scale of the high contrast
image, generated in IRIS.

As you can see, nothing was detected at these
wavelengths, despite a clear image. Pehaps others
had more luck. I would be interested to hear any
reports from others of a positive visual or CCD
detection
of the Ashen Light.

Best Wishes

Damian
