Some nice views of the areas in and around the GRS; note particularly the
STC white spots and their interactions as well as the SEB fol. the
GRS....there is some nice interaction of the SEBs. and the following "point"
of the GRS.

In my opinion we are at the beginning of a fairly substantial outbreak
within the SEBzone...note in addition to the large open convection activity
a new dark spot that is approaching the CM in the latter image.

Jupiter in steady skies. Note the northern edge of the GRS and its hollow,
fol. end, and what appears to be a series of small dusky spots which are
overriding the GRS along with the very dark festoon emanating from the s.
edge of the SEB and seemingly merging with the southern perimeter of the GRS
hollow. Nice spot interaction due So. of GRS as well as throughout STC.
**SEB appears to be in a full-blown disturbance in longitudes fol. the GRS.

Fair conditions; note the darkening and thickening of the STB in longitudes
fol. the GRS; SEBs festoon on fol. edge of GRS hollow is very pronounced as
is what appears to be a small white spot within the hollow at the following
"point" of the GRS. STC white spots are well shown as is NEB barge B-4 near
CM. Note the dark spot that is approaching the CM within the northern part
of the SEBzone.

Hi all,

Here are more Jupiter images from last night. Seeing
was again rather mediocre at times, but the webcam
gets around it well.

The area f. the GRS was presented again. Note the
redish colour of the NTBs.

Best Wishes

Damian

Dear all,
Attrached link was the Jupiter taken tonight.
Although Hong Kong is affected by the strong
monsoon wind but the seeing was improved while
Jupiter at the zenith.
You can see the GRS and the two Jovian Satellites,
the Io and the Europa.
ou may also see some ovals on the southern polar
region and the group near the central meridian seems
merging together, very interesting.

Hello all, I have obtained color and red ligth images of the planet yesterday.
They span the hemisphere with the SEB outbreak. The original spot looks fainter now, but the Belt following the GRS is very disturbed.
After looking at images of december 2001, I think that the similarity of the evolution of the two events is striking.
The red-ligth images are interesting, although maybe not absolutely conclusive.
Unfortunately the second red image must be misfocused a bit.
Both shows more conspicuous details in some part of the planet, as the blue festoon apparently lying directly into the NEBs (images a and b), or small dark spots on the edge of SEBs (images c and d).
