Damian Peach (C11 235mm SCT:ATK)

Conditions were excellent here (about 20 miles west of London), during the early hours of the11th. The image quite nicely shows a disturbance in the EZ.. Astronomik filters were used with the ATK. in a C11

Being new to LRGB I am still learning, I found I could improve on yesterdays image. Its a pity about the false echoes of Cassini's division, caused by turbulence.
They are also visible on the images from my 6 inch Mak, taken on the same evening.
Thank you for the comments guys and the beautiful presentation of comet Machholz Carlos.

I have attached a Saturn image obtained in excellent seeing on Dec 11th, 2004. at 02:26 UT.
Obtained with a Celestron 9.25" SCT @ F/39.5 and ATK-1HS CCD camera with colour filters.
I was quite suprised that such a result was possible with less than 10" aperture.

9.25" (23.5 cm) Celestron SCT @ f/39.5 ATK-1HS CCD camera + RGB filters.
Seeing excellent (Pickering 8-9.) Transparency good (5.0mag) slight haze.
Wind calm. Heavy dew. -2 deg C!. Eq Diam=20.0" Altitude= 60 degs.

Hi all,
Here are the images sequences from Dec 11th in Red light and RGB, processed to show globe details clearly.
A seperate mail with links to animations was also sent.
