Seeing was great tonight at around 9/10. Sadly, transparency was around 3/5 due to haze!
Jupiter is filled with activity. Note the two spots to the left of the GRS! There is really a very big change in the area around the GRS compared to the image I made 2 days ago! Note the white spots inside the GRS!!
The NEB is filled with rifts!! While the EB has a lot of interestingly shaped festoons!

Here's another image of Jupiter about an hour before the image I sent earlier. Note the two red features in the left side of the NNTB. Also of interest is the white oval at the SPR. There is also a big rift activity on the NEB.

Here are some observations from May 9, 2005 taken in fair seeing conditions at 22:59:01 UTC.
Dear seems to be a well defined NTB visible clearly now.

had a good evening although transparancy was very variable. There are a lot of ovals in SPR and some nice rifts in NEB

Here are some images from May 9th. This is the final session obtained. I will produce some time lapse animations and projections maps in the coming days.
I hope youve enjoyed viewing all the images as much as i enjoyed taking them. I full gallery and report will appear on my webpages in due course.
The next "jupiter flyby" will take place in April 2006

the merger of two NEB barges during April-May.
