Uranus on opposition-day;
Because the clouds rolled in,before I could start an imaging session,I made a drawing.Observations partially through
the clouds,using magnifications from 500x- 800x and 1500x. Although seeing was good,the clouds made the disk
of Uranus too dark to see variations of albedo,as I succeeded once in 2004,using the same setup(250mm Newtonian).
Interesting though was too see the star in its neighbourhood,to compare with the Uranus disk.

On early September Uranus was in opposition and I had some fair circumstances to capture it.

The first two images (Sept. 1-2 and Sept. 3) do show an hint of the SPC as a bright hood placed at 4 o' clock.
The Sept. 5 image is my very first portrait with any of the 5 moons visible from amateur equipment!
I was lucky enough I catched the elusive Miranda at its max elongation!
To make the Grand Slam even more complete, 2 further stars were also captured in the field!
The TYC star was as bright as Uranus.
