Venus Image 2006/07/24(UT)

Here a triptych of Venus images taken within half an hour. There are several details that are seen in each image, indicating that they are real. I did some measuring and it turns out that the smallest details are in the order of 0.5". And that on a planetary disk of 11.2" that stands only 30 degrees above the horizon! Very promising for nect year.....

Going through all my AVI's I discovered that around 05:51UT the image quality was absolutely the best. I processed 600 frames and the result is seen in the attached picture. There is quite some detail on the only 11" disk at that timepoint.
