Here are two photos of Venus in the UV, captured with DMK 21BF04 firewire camera and ToUcam Pro II.
Beside are the graphs of the spectral sensitivity of each camera.
It is clear that ToUcam is not as sensitive to the UV as the DMK which seems to be very sensitive.
The fact that the apperture of the telescope used is very small for UV captures (5inch) proves that.
Of course there are amateurs that have succesfully captured clouds on Venus with ToUcam and a 7" scope (as also David Rivas with 8"), but with DMK things are much easier. In the past i have tried many UV captures with ToUcam and my 5" scope, all unsuccessful.
