Although very low in our skies and only fair to poor seeing conditions, a lot of detail was recorded this morning on Jupiter. (south at top) The NEBn and NTrZ continue to greatly increase activity through this longitudinal expanse, with numerous bright yellow and white spots within the NEBn edge and intruding into the NTrZ. Note the interesting change in morphology of the conspicuous STrZ festoon when comparing in different colors. Very reddish bright spot within the STZ nearing the CM. Considerable activity seems to be increasing in latitudes NORTH of the NTB, this perhaps in relation with the strong activity in the tropical region.

An image near dawn of Jupiter on April 2, showing the southern latitude new red spot, very similar now in color to the Great Red Spot. Note conspicuous darkening on both E. and W. longitudes of this spot, this seen best in red and RGB (color) images. Interesting variation of this same area noted in blue light. The SEB is now clearly becoming two equal and quite parallel reddish brown bands, while the true equatorial belt is undergoing a revival that puts its intensity and latitudinal breadth nearly equal to the SEB components.
Great turbulence noted in the NEB, with bright and irregular areas stringing to its north, particularly in the NTrZ.
Note the bery long and dark red barge in the SSTB near the top left of the color image, this quite prominent in the blue image.
