Excellent seeing, but gusty winds hampered the sharpness of the methane image.

Seeing was good this evening. I just had to deal with tube currents on my OTA. Here are images of the GRS,STrD-2 and the SEB outbreak.
The outbreak is still very busy! Note the tiny red spot to the west of the GRS. There seems to be some bright banding around it. Note the "tail" end of the SED is now below the outbreak!
The EZ is still dark but the festoon activity seems to be slowing down.
The NEB is very busy here! There are a lot of complex activity here. The NTB is also very prominent! Note the banding at the NNTB.

In this photo we can see the GRS still in the CM.
To the left of the GRS we can see that the SEB is very pale when we compare it with the part of the SEB to the right side of GRS.
The NEB is very busy.
Though the seeing was not so good,we can see some very faded white regions (spots?) at the SSTB

Paolo R. Lazzarotti (250mm Newton)
In our forever sunny but unsteady summer, myself and my friend Nicola decided to move our targets toward Milky Way nebulae to give a new camera of mine some preliminary test.

But on July 19,waiting for the darkness falling over his 250mm newtonian scope,we had an unexpectedly pleasant view of the usually "milky" gas giant here placed at 23 degs.
We were lucky enough to have some 'hires imaging hardware' with ourselves,so we could grab some interesting stuff.
I could as well test a colorized VGA sensor based camera of mine.

David Arditti (250mm Dall-Kirkham Cassegrain)
During late July I visited Olly Penrice's excellent observing "retreat" Les
Granges, in Haute Provence, France. Part of the motivation for this was to be
able to image Jupiter with about 7 deg. more altitude than is possible from
London. I used Olly's 10" Meade LX200 (wedge-mounted), with my own filters,
Barlow, and DMK camera. Here is the first evening's results.
