Seeing and transparency was horrible. There was a light shower during the start of the session. I was having second thoughts whether I should image or not. I was only able to get 1 image before clouds rolled in!
The Oval BA is now in conjunction with the GRS. The LRS just went between the GRS and Oval BA. Note the reddish protrusion southeast of the GRS! Is the the LRS remnant?

After driving back from Nambucca Heads yesterday with the scope I found the conditions at home were clear so I unpacked and set the scope up in the hope of finding some good conditions.
There was some upper level jetstream present,so no fine detail in this image but the lower levels of the atmosphere were very stable.

Poor transparency & only fair seeing this evening. Will be
interesting to see if the LRS reappears in the coming days/weeks.

We had some good seeing and average transparency last Saturday night. My
daughter Jessica (8 years old) got a special treat and was able to look at
Jupiter on the laptop screen. She ran upstairs and looked at her stars and
planets book to compare the number of bands. Pretty proud father I was J

Anyway, this was the best of the night,Unfortunately the temperature
dropped quickly after this and then cloud came in. Oh,yes, the GRS was just
coming around the corner...typical L

Anyway I really enjoyed sharing with my daughter. It was even worth the
scathing frowns and looks I got from my wife J

Comments: The LRS is lightly visible after the interaction with GRS and
BA. In the diff[R,B] (new kind of color elaboration) is more enhanched
the contrast on bluish details (dark),and the redish areas appears from
white to light gray (NEB,NTB,GRS and LRS)
