transparency was high haze (3/6) and seeing poor (4/10).
Considerable activity concentrated in the NEB.

Peter Edwards(280mm SC)
Just as the mist rolled in last night the seeing calmed down and I managed
to image Jupiter.
The impact area was still visible at upper left and an elongated dark mark
is still visible although the dark cloud has dispersed a lot. It appears
that there are two darker areas within the smudge.

Just one remark, there is a dark area in the equatorial zone just south of the NEB,on the p. limb, which is not visible in the other wavelengths.

As the season of rains has now arrived here, there may be time to process some Jupiter images from August, when we seemed to have clear sky every night.
Seeing in this series got better later. These show the impact site after it had become rather spread out, about a month after impact.
