セブでは乾季特有の雲のない天気になってきました。気流も
良くなり、夕方の金星が観測出来ます。
金星のUVでは特有の横Y字の上空の雲が見えています。南側は
明るく、眼視で模様が分かります。

Use has been made of a special UV Barlow (UVB) witch has been
designed by Mr. Harrie Rutten, an internationational well known optical
designer . He did this for Mr. Arnaud van Kranenburg, also from the
Netherland, who asked Harrie to find a solution for his C9.25 concerning
the abberations in the UV, which have all SCT's. So Harrie developped
this very special Barlow to correct for this abberations and thus
sharpening the Venus images considderably. Mr. Herman ten Haaf
from the Netherlands did the very fine hardware on this UVB and I
myself have this UVB from Arnaud for loan to test it on my C14.
Alltough the UVB has been designed to match the C9.25 and is not
exact perfect for my C14, my experiences with it are that it workes
quite well on my scope aswell. Sharp focusing is possible with it,
wich is not possible without it, due to the abberations in the UV.
In and out focus tests on stars also show clearly the improvement
with the UVB.
