As Venus nears the Sun it seems indeed that the difference in contrast between the darkside and the sky background is getting less, so that it actualy is more difficult now to image the darkside with Sun above the horizon then in previous weeks. (See 2009-03-02) Nontheless, it was still possible in this image with the Sun 18deg. above the horizon, arround 16h UT. The image below contains more stacks until 18h UT, but the 16h stack shows it clearly.
