The morning elongation of Venus is by far not as good
as the evening elongation earlyer this year, but still
it was possible to image the darkside of Venus in
the daytime. (The report on the evening elongation is
to find here on the ALPO Japan Venus site on 02-03-2009).

Due to the much poorer conditions here now,its all very
subtile, but at least it is enough to show that the
darkside of Venus can be done from about Venus half to
half trough the inferior conjunction.
Also that it can be done with the Sun in the sky and
with exposures as short as 1/25s 10fr/s.
The images here are all with 10 - 40 000 frames each.
Under better condition it is possible this way to study
the darkside over a longer period of time and high in the
sky making it easyer to detect details there.
Many thanks to my friend Arnaud van Kranenburg
who suggested to do this work with the Asahi990nm
filter which is indeed better than the Schott1000nm.
