Hi all,

Here is a compilation of images of Jupiter's SEB Revival from Dec.3-13.
There has been another brilliant plume eruption at the original source
(L2=298, Dec.10/11), and many other changes.  The expanding extremities
are not included: the northern branch has extended rapidly all the way
to the GRS, and we should look out for any changes there. (In the 1990
Revival, it built up a big dark patch due N of the GRS.)

Many thanks to all the observers. for maintaining this unprecedentedly
detailed coverage of the event.  Now that observations are becoming more
difficult and the disturbance more extensive, it is even more important
to image it at every opportunity. (And, as you may know, there is
competition from Saturn, which has also just begun a spectacular storm
outbreak!)

●SEB復活の組画像、12月3-13日

これは12月3-13日のSEB復活の組画像である。元の発生源に別の輝くプルームの
出現(L2=298度、12月10/11日)や、他の多くの変化があった。拡がっている先端は
含まれていない。北分枝は大赤斑までずっと急速に拡がっていて、我々はそこでの
いかなる変化にも気をつけなければならない(1990年の復活では、北分枝によって
大赤斑の真北に大きな暗いパッチができた)。

現象を空前の詳細さでカバーしてくれている全ての観測者に感謝する。現在、
観測はさらに困難になっているが、攪乱はさらに広範囲になっていて、あらゆる
機会に撮影することがより重要である。(ご存じのように、土星にも劇的な嵐の
突出(storm outbreak)が始まっていて、競合している。)

私はこれから4日間連絡が取れないが、すぐにさらに発達することを楽しみにしている。
