Jim Phillips(254mm TMB)
I used to get up early and help get the stockings stuffed and all the Santa Claus stuff put out for the kids. This morning I got up at 3:30 and put on some coffee (Jim's Out of This World Blue Moon Coffee) and got the observatory opened up. It was not supposed to freeze but when I climbed up on the roof of the observatory the surface was covered with a thin sheet of ice. The crystals sparkled in the Moonlight giving the observatory roof a beautiful look, but, being 30 feet above the ground I paid attention to what I was doing and stepped carefully. The seeing was pretty good and,as luck would have it,the new Saturn Storm was beautifully situated. It is very bright and easily seen. I have attached one of my images FYI.

Seeing was poor this morning, and there was a thin veneer of clouds which forced me to shoot at 15 frames per second. Still,it was my first view of the storm complex on the ringed planet. It seems to have spread to span roughly 100 degrees across the cloudtops.
Details in the photo.

強風は収まりましたが、上空は激流のように荒れ狂っているようで、
カッシーニの空隙も確認できません。白斑の形状はよくわかりません が、少し
拡大しているようにも見えます。
