please note the smal dark spot following the GRS,it looks like the
shadow of a moon, but Guide8 shows no moon at that position...

思いの外、好シーイングでした。
この位置だと、RSは10cmの眼視(×150)では、うっかりしすると見逃しそうでした。

Attached are two drawings I made of Jupiter last night.
Alas the seeing conditions were variable, and there was a vast amount of dew dripping from the telescope!
The mean features were as follows:

Drawing 1:
- An interesting oval(?) gap in the SEB(s)
-Two prominent dark barges. The immediately surrounding the barges seems brighter than the rest of the belt
- Dark markings present in the NPR
- Number of festoons present in EZ

Drawing 2: Region showing BA Oval- mys first view this apparition of this region
- Ovak BA now quite hard to see when compared to the previous apparitions.
No colour was apparent at all,and the oval looked more like a slightly darker oval region in the
STropZ White oval in STB nearby on the fol. side of BA

- Some irregular grey shaped material in SEB(s)? Looks as though this material may reach up to
BA but I'm not certain of this.
- NEB quiet at this longitude- interesting though the belt appears not to be uniform- rather
it takes towards the proc. edge of the disk, and gets broader towards the centre of the disk

- NTB difficult,NNTB much easier and darker

I managed to get a reasonable intensity estimate, but after drawing 2 seeing dropped off alarmingly.
I had intended to battle on and try to obtain some transits and filter work, but clouds came in from
the SW and rudely put a stop to all observations.

The difference between the two dark barges on the NEB is quite interesting. Back to the clouds and rain since with little end to it in sight.
