I was able to make a drawing, some intensity estimates and a phase estimate. The theoretical
phase at the time of observation was 50.5%, however I observed a phase of
47.7%. I have been using an apodizing screen and this really helped reduce the
glare- I was able to use a power of 167x and obtained some nice views of some
subtle markings (see attached drawing). Some additional notes:
Illuminated disk: A number of dark markings were observed, the darkest seemed
to be in the south, extending from the terminator onto the disk and was a
bluish-gray colour. A vertical marking could also be made out near the
planet's centre.
Unilluminated Disk: Not Visible
Bright Limb Band: Both Visible and Complete
