I have attached an RGB Jupiter image from 10 August. Shot between
thunderstorms, but the seeing was decent for a short time.

Very good seeing for this session. Some lovely colours across the planet.
The NTBs is striking in its deep orange colour. Note the delicate colouration across the EZ.
Ganymede nearby just having emerged from behind the planet.

Please find attached an observation I made of Jupiter on 10th August 2012. Seeing was variable, usually around AIII but with some good steady moments. Sky was a little hazy and with a good deal of dew.

Features on the Disk:
SPR: D.sections of a SSTB could be made out
STB: Thin but present. brownish grey in colour
OVAL BA: This could be seen in the steady moments, although there was hardly any colour present.
GRS: Very pale and rather hard to see. The spot seemed to be poorly defined, and it was hard to make out it's full oval outline.
The dark border observed last year seems to have gone.
STropB: Present, and seems to get close too/touches GRS
SEB: Quite a lot of turbulence fol. the GRS. A number of bright and dark streaks.
EZ: EB present and a number of bluish festoons present
NEB: Rather thin, with an orange colour, number of dark irregular sects cutting into the EZ
NTropZ: A murky zone with some interesting subtle details; in the good seeing many different light and dark regions could be seen.
NTB: Dark and broad, some orange colour present, darker along its northern edge
NPR: Dusky mottled region.

Filters:
0250UT (W#80A): All of the main principle belts stand out well in this filter. The fine details of the SEB,NEB and NTB are well emphasized. EZ features much harder to seem,so too were the irregular edges along the NEBn.

0257UT (W#25A): Interesting view,SEBz rather prominent along with some structure in NEBs and EZ. EB seen in this filter.

0303UT (W#47): Unusual view! SEB rather strong but NEB and NTB appear as one thick belt with no apparent separating zone.

0310UT: Sky getting very light, little point in continuing. Intensity estimates made and transits taken.

Here are the results of my last session on Jupiter at Pic du Midi.

RGB and IR 685/742nm images taken with a DMK41 camera - unfortunately
mitigated results, and strong "ring" artifacts on the RGB probably due
to my misknowledge of this camera.

More interesting are the tests with fainter filters (methane absorption
band, UV and IR 1ƒÊm) with the Merlin EMCCD Raptor camera:
