Please find attached a drawing of Mars made on 9th March. Alas it was a rather infuriating evening, the constant passing cloud gave way to clear intervals with rather variable seeing, and there were long periods where the clouds gathered and took some time to clear during which time nothing could be done. The main thing which caught my attention were two brilliant clouds- one on the evening terminator- presumably over Chryse, and another brilliant white cloud(s) in Eridania. Both of these clouds were the same colour and brilliance of the NPC. Poor seeing prevented much fine detail from being seen- Mare Sirenum contained a few darker patches but not the fine detail it would normally show. Elysium was a brighter region not to far from the CM with a streak in Aetheria. Propontis II seemed to be a dark dusky marking. NPC seems to expand beyond the Lowell band, while to NPC does seem to contain some orange colouring, though it is difficult to be
 specific in these conditions.

My conditions have been extrem suboptimal. I had to capture the images
through thin clouds.
