Seeing was good even with some breeze, scintillation and only a little dew. Note the blue shade of Syrtis Major.

Wayne Jaeschke(356mm SCT)
Although conditions improved later, allowing for my first view of Saturn this
apparition (more on that later),here are a few Mars images from near the
time of transit. The red planet shows the NPC fragment Lemuria (if I'm
understanding Jeff correctly) and a brightening haze over Hellas. The
Crater Huygens is seen to the upper right and one of the prongs of the Gomer
Sinus is seen on the left (eastern) limb. A bright (orographic?) cloud
surrounds Elysium Mons and a thin band of haziness appears to cross the equator.

T.Ishibashi (310mm Reflector)

Under a foggy sky and with a seeing rather average.

Looking at Jean-Jacques's IR image from the same night they aren't clouds at all ; just some shining relief slopes because of the opposition effect, like the flanks of Olympus Mons.

Very good seeing for this session.
Brilliant orographics over Tharsis and OM. Only one side of OM is flanked by clouds which trail off to the west. Delicate ECB straddles the equator. into dense haze over Elysium.
