Mars Map 2011-2012 Aphelic Apparition by P.Abel
Although I have not quite finished my Mars observations (unless this wretched weather continues for another few week, in which case I have!!), I have enough observations to make a Mars map. Overall conditions have not been as good as the previous apparition with many more cloudy nights. I feel therefore I must point out that there are very few observations covering longitude 140-190.
One more thing, Olympus was observed, however the Tharsis Montes were observed indirectly (clouds gave away their positions) and so I have put the Tharsis Montes on the map here. I took their positions taken from the S. Ebisawa Mars map on the BAA Mars Section website.
