Here's a brief observation I made of Venus with Sir Patrick Moore's 12.5 inch reflector in Selsey,UK. The planet was bright but still low down and seeing was only ever AIV at best. I believe there was some subtle shadings present on the disk, though I am far from certain if the drawing here renders them accurately. Phase estimate= 78%,the theoretical value= 80%.
Illuminated disk: Contained some subtle bluish markings,it seemed the markings may have got darker near the terminator but I am not sure of this.
Bright Limb Band: Probably complete
Terminator: Looked geometrically regular.
Cusp Regions: These appeared to be about equal.
