Attached is a fven us observation I made on the 3rd February. It was an interesting view but in poor conditions so I am uncertain of the results. I made observations in Integrated Light as well as the #47 and the #21. The observed phase was much smaller in the #47 than in the #21.
Illuminated Disk: A number of elusive markings visible, but nothing very striking
Unilluminated Disk: Not visible, no sign of the Ashen light.
Terminator: Geometrically regular, terminator shading present in IL, #47 and #21.
Limb Band- Bright limb band visible and complete. However I did suspect a brighter region in the limb band just before the SPC. This feature (if real) was only really visible in IL and #47, though by the time I came to use the #21, seeing was appalling.
Polar Regions: Both cusp caps present but the SPC seemed brighter- interestingly, the south cusp collar seemed to be visible all the way around the SPC. Normally it is cut off by the terminator at this phase. Seeing artifact?
