Found Venus relatively easy with 1-x50 binoculars. Even in the light sky the planet is obvious against the light blue sky. Alas, conditions were only average at best, and much of the detail observed on the disk (both in IL,W#47 and W#21) was elusive and hard to define. So much so,the attached drawings are probably only best used if there is confirmation from other observers!!
Illuminated Disk: Markings seen, and a brighter region suspected just after the Limb band, but far from certain. Shadings seem to have a bluish tint.
Unilluminated Disk: not seen
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
Terminator: Dichotomy not far now, terminator only slightly concave- in W#47 it looked practically imminent!
Cusp Regions: Both present- SPC perhaps not as large as before. NPC seemed to be slightly brighter.
Cusp Collars: Both collars present but the Northern one seemed darker.
The colours in the filter drawings is not as prominent due to the fact that the colours in the filter observations seemed slightly more 'washed out'
