We imaged Venus today (June 5th) under very clear skies just past local noon (10:45 UT). The planet was only 44' from the Sun's edge and 0.015% illuminated. A 10-cm off-axis mask was used on an Orion Optics UK SPX 25-cm f/6.3 Newtonian, Astrodon UV filter and a Basler Ace ac640-100gm camera. 2012/06/05 10:45(UT)
