Some good seeing occured for a while.A very active part of NEB-EZ:

After some while I am back again at the scope and observing respectively recording images, this time of jupiter.
Please note that I have bought a new telescope. My observations from now on will normally be made with my new Celestron 14.
Could you please correct my "profile" name into: Rudolf A. Hillebrecht (356mm SC). Thank you.

Comment for the attached image:
My first good jupiter in the new year (another obeservation was acquired under bad seeing conditions two days earlier)
and with my new C14. Although seeing was still quick and wobbling, the result already confirms the high quality of this scope.
Here will be much more to come...
Moon to the right is Europa. A remarkable feature on jupiter is the dark point in the north just near meridian.
Looking a little bit like those traces of asteroid crashes into jupiters atmosphere they in fact are three smaller dots
that were clearly visible in an image from John Susssenbach from Janury 12th.
While there still in a line they formed a clump on the 14th. Probabely they will spread again in the next days.
