Please find herewith a Jupiter imaging result, dated October 30th 2013 at 5h19 UT

[ Leo Aerts: Belgium]

Teruaki Kumamori (280mm SC)

Teruaki Kumamori:Ohsaka Japan]

Koji Endo(150mm Newtonian)

Koji Endo:Saitama Japan]

T.Ishibashi (310mm Reflector)

Seiichi Yoneyama(248mm Newton)

Trevor Barry(406mm Newtonian)
Imaged Jupiter this morning in poor seeing, have attached 3 742nm IR data sets from the session
that have some detail trying to peek through.
This data was at the max alt for my location for this apparition,36 degrees.
Next week is shaping up to be the best seeing thus far for this apparition,as always,I live in hope.

Tadashi Horiuchi(300mm Newtonian)

T.Horiuchi: Uji- City Kyoto Japan]

Paul G. Abel(203mm reflector)

Finally had some clear weather here on the morning of the 30th October and I was able to make an observation of Jupiter.
Seeing was average, but there were a number of interesting features on display.
-SSTB seen
-STB quite dark and prominent in some sections.
-GRS certainly seems to be more prominent since I observed it last, the coloration is also more marked.
-The RSH seems to be very well defined;
this might well be a contrast effect between the dark SEB which curves under the GRS and the the GRS itself.
-Light region seen in the SEBz just proc. the GRS.

Satellites:
-Io appeared on the Proc. limb at 0038UT.
-Europa was in transit throughout the observation. WINJUPOS showed it to be just fol. the GRS however I was unable to see it.

Also examined the planet with W#25A and W#80A filters. Intensity estimates made in IL as well as Red and blue.

Michel Jacquesson (203mm SC)

[Michel Jacquesson : Sevigny-Waleppe (Ardennes) France]

Damian Peach (356mm Celestron SCT)

Its been a pretty dismal period for planetary work in recent weeks.
Endless low pressure systems and poor seeing.
The 30th was no different with poor seeing - too poor for a decent colour image.

Here is a red light image obtained on the night - the only period that yeilded something reasonable.

Constantin Sprianu(245mm Cassegrain)

[Constantin Sprianu:Otopeni,Romania]

Hideo Einaga (300mm Newton)

[Hideo Einaga Kasai-City Hyogo-Prefecture Japan]

Christophe Pellier (250mm Cassegrain)

Just one night under fairly good seeing...
Damian already commented about how bad is currently the sky of western Europe :(
