Seeing was a bit variable today. Jupiter was still low when I took these images. I just had to catch the ROZ.

The area preceding the GRS has a lot of activity!
Jupiter's new red spot what once was White Spot Z still has a reddish color but still a bit faint.
The spot looks very bright in Methane band. The NTBn is still very chaotic.
Note the prominent red feature just south of the NNTZ LRS.

In the midst of an evening characterized by seeing consistently poor,
the only movie worthy of attention is the one from which I draw this picture I present to you,
when Jupiter was not yet passing the meridian.
More interesting,in my opinion, the north area of the planet,
where you can see the so-called "New Red Spot" (what was once the WSZ) which has a nice red color though still weak,
while is prominent the Small Red Spot in the NNTZ that is going to basically switch the meridian.
In the southern part of the planet, the Great Red Spot from the left edge is about to rise,
the four canonical WOS foregoing it,and also an interesting small stain dark-red spindle-shaped
which is located between the first two WOS,and passing to the central meridian of Jupiter.

Probably this will be my last Jovian image of 2013 so,hoping in best seeingn next days,
I take this opportunity to wish you all the best for a happy and peaceful New Year 2014 !

Hi,
Here is slightly smoother version from 10mins earlier with a little more detail from the use of a mono camera and RGB filters.
About 4x the processing effort of the previous one done with a colour camera though [Martin R Lewis: Hertfordshire United Kingdom]
