Morning was good, seeing and trasparency too, so I tried to capture my first
martian image of this year. Altitude was only 11°, diameter 3.9" and mag. 1.6,
el.24°,in conjuction with Jupiter (47') and Mu Geminorum (2.9 mag.) that
improved my searching. I needed lots of shots to have the image I send, and
even if it's a poor picture I'm satisfied for the results, that show the small
disk and probably a polar cap up right (North is up). In the same morning I
tried to find Mercury, 8° far from Mars, but my horizon begins at 5-6° and the
planet was too faint to catch in the morning light.
