Condition was excellent this evening.
Oval BA is slowly approaching the GRS.
The wake of the GRS is very complex. volcanic Io is well resolved on the SEB.
There is a bright rift on the NEB.

Due to the lack of photos on IR follows one made with IMG monochrome OH.
Virtually the premiere of this camera at the very end of the Jupiter season.
Maybe if the star were not so low the result would have been better.

I had a lucky opportunity to get two images of Jupiter having the same
position of the central meridian in system 2 (CMII = 248). I made an
animated comparison of these two images taken 7 days apart (feb. 18
and feb. 25,2014). Changes in Jovian atmosphere are clearly visible.
South is up.

Here’s Jupiter from early tonight.
Interesting thing to me here is the way the brown scud in the STB can be seen apparently circulating in to the GRS.
The light line on the LH limb is an artefact that is often produced by the WinJupos derotation procedure
when Jupiter is at this sort of gibbous phase,which I can’t remove completely,so I’ve blurred it.

Another night of fair seeing on the 25th allowed me to take this image with my ASI120MC colour camera.

Please find attached images from the 25th and 27th Feb 2014,seeing fairly good at the time,both images are an average of 6,000 frames (12,000 were captured).
On the 25th I was only able to capture one complete AVI before the clouds started to roll in. Seeing on the 27th started badly but seeing the Aurora briefly in the UK made up for that,
I continued to capture Jupiter once the Aurora had faded,by this time the seeing had improved greatly.
