Imaged Jupiter this morning, initially in fair seeing for the alt but then it dropped off significantly going very soft.
Have attached the first IR,R & RGB data, which was the best.
This is the region preceding the GRS,which is right over over on the F limb.
Oval BA is prominent as are a line of white ovals in the SSTB.
Again, the SEB immediately preceding the GRS looks particularly smooth.
There is a red barge like feature down in the NNTZ

Please find attached a drawing of Jupiter made on 2014 December 29-30. We had some good seeing for a time, and a number of details were visible on the disk:

SSTB seems to be broad and faint.
STB contained some darker sections. Two white ovals present.
Vague band in the STropZ towards the proc. end.
SEB broad, the SEBz dark and contained some lighter regions.
EZ contained a number of festoons, although they were not particularly dark.
NEB probably the most active belt, and contained a number of interesting features. The belt did not appear uniform and was curved in many places along its northern border.
NTB containted a number of darker sections- quite hard to define.

Best wishes and clear skies for 2015!

Damian Peach (356mm Celestron SCT)
Here are all the images from two sessions on Dec 29th and 30th during a brief interlude in the dreadful winter weather.
Poor seeing on the 29th,very good on the 30th.
It was also clear on the 31st but the seeing was so poor nothing could be done (despite the weather charts suggesting the opposite!)

Kimikazu Ozaki(440mm Rfd)
雲が多くて seeing も悪く、24時頃に時雨もあり・・・・・。
