For once we had a clear night all night here- I was able to observe from 2230UT until 0530UT. Seeing and transparency was rather good and Uranus presented some tantalizing details. The view was much the same as that on the 2nd October- a brighter northern hemisphere and EZ and a vague belt. There also seemed to be a vague brighter region on/near the belt. It is hard to say whether or not this is real as I am working at the edge of what the telescope can resolve and what I can see! Still, it was an interesting view.
