This elongation is not very favourable from here with the planet being at a lower declinition than the sun. However I was surprised with an opportunity this a.m.: a nicely placed slow-moving cloud was blocking the sun and Venus was spotted at once with unaided eyes standing out boldly some degrees to the west of the cloud!
