Fine skies offered the chance to challenge Mercury in daytime on April 20th. Transparency was good, so finding the planet after noon time was easier as expected but seeing was once more a big disappointment. Nearly could not find any focus, only few moments showed the real shape of the planet. To my surprise the evaluation of the video with about 20.000 frames brought up a quite valuable image. I did not trust the detail first but found confirmation in other images around that date and theroetical simulation of albedo structure in Guide 9. Processed in AS2 and Giotto.
