Please find attached a Venus observation last night. The weather has been terrible of late, even when the skies have cleared the wind has been far to strong to observe in! Seeing was around AIV, but I was able to discern some markings on the disk. I estimated a phase of 84%- the theoretical value is 88%. Other points:
Illuminated disk: contains a number of dusky markings on the centre of the disk along with two brighter spots. The shadings near the poles were the darkest.
Unilluminated disk: Not seen
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
Terminator: Geometrically regular- terminator shading present.
Cusp Regions: Both cusp caps present, it may have been the case that the southern one was marginally brighter.
Cusp Collars: Both seemed to be present.
