Here is a report about Venus performed with the 100mm ED refractor in
daylight.
Poor to average conditions on short calm relative moments.
Caps bright still here but at similar clearty.
Some dusky features was appearing in spite of the image agitation noted.
With the red filter a bright patch near the limb was captured.
Globally the observation was difficult to accomplish.

Please find attached a series of drawings of Venus made on the afternoon of the 6th April. I used three filters (W#11,W#25A and W#80A) to bring out the feint markings on the Cyhtrean disk. Other points of note include the following:
Illuminated Disk: Along wwith the general hue of the disk,a number of darker streaks were visible. Indeed the planet had a somewhat 'wind swept' look. Each of filters gave a slightly different emphasis on the features visible, but the overall results confirmed a general structure,
Unilluminated Disk: Not visible
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
Terminator: Recorded as geometrically regular, however it did seem somewhat irregular at times. I put this down too the poor seeing which was never any better than AIV throughout the observation.
Cusp Regions: Both cusp caps present, but once more it did seem that the northern cusp cap was fractionally brighter than its southern counterpart.
Cusp Collars: Both collars visible although interestingly I found their contrast was somewhat increased by using a blue W#80A filter.
Best wishes,-Paul -----
