Please find attached an observation of Venus made on the 11th June. Seeing was poor but a number of features were present on the disk:
Illuminated Disk: Two dusky streaks were present which varied somewhat in appearance depending on whether they were viewed in IL or with filters.
Unilluminated Disk: Not seen
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete. Terminator: Largely geometrically regular- in IL the souther cusp seemed to extend a little into the terminator. The effect was not so apparent in the W25A and completely absent in the W47 suggesting that it is probably glare from the bright cap rather than a real extension.
Cusp Caps: Both seemed to be about equal in size although the southern cap may have been marginally brighter.
In spite of the forecasted clear night,a thick haze obscured the sky from 2300UT onwards!
