Clyde Foster氏はHellasの中にdust stormを記録している。前日の6月6日は
Hellasの内側にとどまっているが、今回はHellespontusのすぐわきまで迫っている。画像
では、Hellespontusを横切り、Noachisも横切っているように見える。このダストベール
はMare Erythraeumのすぐ東側まで伸びているようだ。6月6日からのわずか1日で
Noachisを横切ることは考えられない。
このダストベールのバンドの南側はよく晴れた領域になっており、模様も暗く写っている。
ちょうどMare Erythraeumの東まで続いている。今回のダストバンドのでき方と関連が
あるかも知れない。
Antonio Lasala氏はMare Acidariumの中央付近にまでできた白雲を記録してい
る。Efrain Morales Rivera氏の画像ではAmazonis付近まで続いていることが分かる。
Mr. Clyde Foster records dust storm in Hellas. I stay inside of Hellas
on June 6 of the day before,but approach this time to the immediate
side of Hellespontus. With the image,I seem to cross Noachis across
Hellespontus. This dust veil seems to lengthen to the immediate east
side of Mare Erythraeum. It is not thought about crossing Noachis in
only one day from June 6.
The south side of this dust veil band becomes the domain where it
was fine well,and it is gloomy,and the design comes out,too. I just
follow to the east of Mare Erythraeum. Of this dust viel band can do it,
and may be related to one.
It is just,and Mr. Antonio Lasala records the white cloud which came
near the center of Mare Acidarium. It is revealed that I follow to the
neighborhood of Amazonis by the image of Mr. Efrain Morales Rivera.

It was mostly cloudy this evening. I was about to give up when the clouds broke up in the area where Mars was. I rushed to get some images. I was a bit nervous because there was a thunderstorm headed our way. Seeing was not good and transparency was poor.
I was able to get 5 sets of RGB. Mare Cimmerium is the main feature here. Not a lot of cloud in Elysium.

Getting some reasonable seeing,although we are expecting a cold front later this week. Attached image from last night. There appears to be residual cloud on the western(right) side of Hellas. What I noted in processing a number of images from the evening was that there is a very fine line of cloud extending westwards and slightly north from Hellas,expanding and dissipating as it gets towards the western limb. It is very subtle and probably best seen in the G image. It is almost as if cloud is finding its way through a small gap in the western wall of Hellas and being blown westwards. However,this is only a theory. Comments would be welcome.
Hi,all. A second submission from yesterday evening taken a little over an hour before the previous image set. In this image,the linear cloud which appears to extend from the rim of Hellas,expanding and dissipating to the west(right) is seen a little more clearly(although still subtle). In particular it is seen more clearly in the G and B images than in the previous image set.
To expand on my “theory”: Is it possible that there is an “East South Easterly” blowing over Hellas which is pushing a “mixed cloud” of cloud and dust (I say this as there does appear to be a R component in the cloud) against the western wall of Hellas? Further,if there is a small breach in the upper western wall of Hellas,the cloud is being pushed up and through this breach,resulting in the linear cloud extending to the west north west,expanding and dissipating towards the limb? I am not sure about the prevailing winds at this time of the Martian season,so I may be way off the mark. However if anyone has any views or comments,I would be interested to hear. This may support,at least to some extent,some of Jims recent commentary on Hellas winds?
