Under average conditions,I could still secure some images before the clouds came in,and catch the equatorial spot (but with no further details):
The equatorial spot(s) position starts to differ from the ephemeris (drifting faster).

here is an observation I made yesterday in less than average conditions, but surprisingly the Eq.Spot was distinct.
I have selected the best frames and derotated many images to produce this resized result. 
Triton is below Neptune.In the R-IR the spot is very bright with a small extension following (uncompleted merging?). 
There is dark material around the spot, and maybe a belt exist south of the spot?
