The sky was overcast early this evening. But it cleared up as Saturn reached prime time!
Seeing and Transparency was excellent. But my run was cut short my clouds.
It is 2 days before Saturn's Opposition. The rings are very bright now as ice gains in the ring fully reflect sunlight back to earth.
The polar hexagon is distinct. The north polar spot is also clearly seen. There are some low contrast features in the belts.

Reasonable conditions for these Saturn captures from last night.

Here a few images of Saturn and Jupiter taken under average-poor seeing from the UK in the 13th June.
The Saturn images are of a fairly sharp IR 742 image and a blurred colour image. I then combined the two with the IR added as a luminocity layer in PS.
Saturn is very challenging with the type of seeing we have typically and it's altitude currently in the UK. Makes you appreciate Damian's Pic du Midi image even more!!

Having finally found the free time to process the Saturn movies of June 13,
taken in R, G and B trichromy, here is the resulting image, very close to the opposition 2017,
exactly less than two days, which shows the ring's Seeliger effect and the famous polar Hexagon of the North Pole of Saturn, located at about 78 ° north,
as well as the polar dark spot at the center of it.
