解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi

The sunny areas of SPC are located south of Argyre and south of Hellas. The image of Mr. Robert Heffner has recorded a region that
became brighter at the position considered to be Mitchell Mountain to the south of Hellas. Also,it is recorded that the east SPC is covered
with a dust storm.
In the image of Mr. Manos Kardasis, you can see well the connection between Oxia and Mare Acidarium, one of the changes in the pattern
that happened this year.

Hi all, here's an image of Mars from this morning in variable conditions.
Once again a 750nm longpass IR filter was used. Hellas Basin is still very bright in the lower part of this image,
and some hints of internal structure can be seen. To it's north we see Syrtis Major.

This is an image of Mars taken this morning using Astrodon RGB filters to give a realistic idea of how it appearances in the eyepiece.

Albedo features were a little easier to detect in integrated light,so maybe the dust storm is beginning to abate.

Well, conditions were terrible with a stronger jet stream of 41 m/s,
haze and air pollution but I could do some RGB sequences just to
register Mars closest approach in its perihelic opposition.
Solis Lacus decernible and blue clouds apparent in the north polar hood
among other albedo features in vey low contrast.
